Exciting new land opportunity in El Dorado county!

The American River Conservancy (“ARC”), a non-profit land trust, seeks farmers to lease farm acreage and/or buildings, and operate business enterprises consistent with protecting the site’s cultural, natural and agricultural resources.

The entire farm is 272 acres in size and located in the Gold Hill area approximately 1,200 ft. above the Sacramento Valley. The area is a gently rolling plain of grassland and oak with two seasonal streams. The soils are deep and fertile and are rated “unique” and of “statewide importance” by the USDA. Piped irrigation water is available from the El Dorado Irrigation District. The farm is located on Cold Springs Road, a major arterial roadway between Placerville and Coloma, 35 miles due east of Sacramento.

The ARC requests proposals for the lease of the following for no less than $1,200 per month:

- 10 acre irrigated/fenced row crop land; tractor with implements; hoop houses and improved farm stand; bread oven and parking lot; and
- One (1) residential structure (3bedr/3bath built in 1960’s).
