Job Description: 
Now Looking for 2 Experienced Organic Farmers. Ideal candidates will have integrity, great attention to detail, problem solving skills, physical stamina and strength. A Blue Mountain Farm, is located in the foothills of Northern California’s Sierra Nevada. A large assortment of mostly heirloom fruit, vegetable, and culinary/medical herbs are grown along with raising honeybees and chickens. Various permaculture practices are used along with some use of tools like tractors in specific garden areas. 
Duties & Responsibilities: 
Farmers take part in all farm operations, including seeding, transplanting, greenhouse production, field preparation, cultivation, careful efficient harvesting for maximum crop quality, pruning the orchard, washing and packing for customers, distribution of produce, and interaction with customers.
Education & Experience: 
Must have at least 1-2 years of experience organic farming or have applicble knowledge, skillset that could fill the position.
Must work well independently and with others.
Have passion for life and the work they do.
Have a drivers license for driving to market
Relevant Experience : Permaculture, soil fertility, composting, companion planting, crop rotation, cover cropping, natural pest and disease management, orchard care, beekeeping, fungi culture, viticulture, medicinal herbalism irrigation, fencing, tractor work, greenhouse.

Various permaculture practices are used along with some use of tools like tractors in specific garden areas. 
Ideal candidates will have integrity, great attention to detail, problem solving skills, physical stamina and strength. Interns will have the opportunity to learn about the workings of a small farm, operation and functions of tractor implements, and gain a greater understanding of soil fertility, composting, crop rotation, cover cropping, companion planting, beekeeping, orchard care, viticulture, fungi culture, plant immunity, natural disease and insect control, and irrigation. Additional opportunities to learn about Natural Building and Rammed Earth may be available for interns staying on the farm. Internships are available only from mid April through October for a minimum of 1-2 months up to the maximum of 7 months. Only 2 internships available at a time.
